Dunottar swimming Tuesday 3'rd moved to Donyngs [Dec 2]

Written by RRSC. Posted in News

Due to the lane rope problem at Dunottar we have decided to move all swimmers who usually go to Dunottar to Donyngs from 7 to 8.30pm tomorrow night (Tuesday 3rd December)

Hopefully the lane ropes will be renewed soon.

If you know other children who swim who have recently joined or sometimes don’t get emails please can you let them know.

Coaches use of cameras on poolside [Nov 26]

Written by RRSC. Posted in News

Afternoon All,

Dale and the coaching team are looking at using new technology to further develop our swimmers at the club, at present they are planning to use motion capture technology to help improve our swimmers starts, turns and stokes.

If you are unhappy with the coaches filming your swimmer please can you inform me by email. If I do not receive any response from  parents we will assume you are happy with this approach.

Kind Regards

Andy

Atlantis Christmas Cracker 30 Nov & 1 Dec - Session & Warm-Up Times [Nov 25]

Please see message below from Atlantis.

Kind regards,

Lochana & Jan

 ---

Dear All

We are looking forward to welcoming you to Pavilions in the Park, Horsham for the Atlantis Christmas Cracker gala on 30th November and 1st December. We expect to have a busy and exciting meet with nearly 600 swimmers competing over the 2 days and 340 swimmers in the busiest sessions.  Please could you get swimmers to bring a £1 coin with them (refundable) so that bags can be put in lockers and poolside can be kept clear?

As noted in the email sent out listing acceptances and rejections, we will not be accepting late entries on the day as we still need to save a bit more time from the sessions. To help us achieve this, it would be helpful if you could let us know of any definite withdrawals before the meet, and to hand-in sign-out sheets promptly within 10 minutes of the start of warm-up for each session.

Parking opens on Saturday at 7.00 and doors open to the changing area and spectator gallery at 7.15 on both days.

Session Times and Warm-Ups are confirmed as follows and we hope to finish by about 18.00 on both days:

                        Warm-Up        Start

Session 1 &4       7.30                          8.15

Session 2 & 5      10.50                        11.50

Session 3 & 6      14.45                        15.30

Spectator Entry is £2.00 for the first session each day, £3.00 each for the following sessions or £5.00 for both and £7 for all day.  The Pavilions-in-the-Park has seating for about 300 spectators.

We plan to upload results live to MeetMobile during the event, so you can follow your star swimmer from afar.  MeetMobile is available as a free Android and iPhone/iPad app  – see the attached link:  http://www.active.com/mobile/meet-mobile.htm

We have attached some suggestions about travelling, parking and cafes near to Pavilions that should help make sure that, even though we are busy, everyone has a great weekend – please could you circulate these to your swimmers & parents?
We will send a further email regarding detailed warm-up schedule, team locations around the pool and coach packs.

Thanks for your support
