Written by RRSC. Posted in News

Congratulations to all the masters who competed at the Surrey county championships Saturday, it was a hugely successful event for the club with everyone collecting medals.

As special mention must go to Jim Green and Tricia Wright who won the Victor Ludorum (Top Swimmer) in their age group.

This year the team finished a very respectable 6th overall in the county with the Men’s team in 5th and the ladies 7th.

Maria Lee and Sam Gibbs Costa Rica Expedition [Apr30]

Written by RRSC. Posted in News

Two of our senior swimmers, Sam Gibbs and Maria Lee, are raising funds to go towards an expedition to help build a school in Costa Rica. During this expedition they will also spend time working with the less fortunate communities to help teach young children.

Last weekend, April 27th, they swam the length of the channel (22 miles) at Donyngs sports centre Redhill to raise funds for this trip. This was a relay totalling a massive 1408 lengths, and took 7 hours to complete!

So far this event has raised £340 towards the trip.

If you still havent sponsored them, it is still not too late!

Please contact Sam or Maria directly in Donyngs on friday from 7:30!
