| Luke Lawless Gala, Dorking 11 September 2010 This gala was really a warm-up gala to judge swimmers' times, to give new members a chance to prove themselves and to see how the seniors have improved over the summer holiday. Although we came 4th overall I was so proud of all the swimmers. Most of you achieved PBs or were within a second of your PB which I would have expected. We had 2 disqualifications over the evening and these were for "take overs" in the relay so we need to work on these, along with starts and turns. I must mention Max Valentine and Kenna Courtman for their huge PB's. Very well done. How exciting was that last relay boys! Fantastic turn Josh! Well done everyone. Sarah Individual results |

| Puffin Trophy Gala, East Grinstead Saturday 16 Jan 2010 Redhill and Reigate were placed 5th out of the 8 teams competing in the Puffin Trophy Gala on 16 January. All swimmers swam their hearts out and this showed in their personal best times. We had a few children for whom this was their first gala and nerves were flying high. However they overcame this and performed to the best of their ability. Thank you to the captains Bailey and Emily who helped look after the younger swimmers and thank you also to Natalie who worked hard at the end of the pool getting the relays running smoothly. We had some great times and all these will be recorded for future galas. Starts and turns are next on the agenda to get up to scratch! Well done everyone, a gala enjoyed by all! |
