This included: Swim Camps- 50m pool training (thanks to Tracy Evans for sorting this out) Swim Academy- aim to expand with learn to swim program and then stream them straight into the club. SH asked if any questions and if people wanted to add things they could email/speak to a committee member. The improvement plan will be put on the website for all to see. |
| Club Shop report | Over £1000 profit from club shop- thanks to Debby. The shop will be available at the club champs for people to buy kit. |
| Open Meet | Made £3500 profit. Have applied for our license for another open meet for Dec 10. SH asked for people to come forward and help planning and preparing- to start sorting out next month (June). |
| Head Coach Report | Club Champs- successful PB's and club records broken. National Swimming League- 3 galas a year Oct, Nov, Dec. We are currently in division 1- maintained our position last year- which is good for us as we lost a few swimmers to other clubs. Open Meet- licensed meet- need to get swimmers in to get their times for other open meets. ASA initiative to get everyone to a certain standard. Dale encouraged parents to get their children to do these meets to get times that they can use for other meets e.g. surreys. Surreys- Feb/March. Came back with 150 points, 15 medals- 2 gold, 7 silver, 6 bronze. Most swimmers got PB's. Mens Team in county 6th place- in front of Croydon, Leatherhead, Epsom and Dorking. Regionals- 2 silver medals. Senior 15 male 14 male. Nationals- 1 swimmer going for 2 events. Squads- changes for squads depending on competitive level. Poolside helpers- we always need people to help on poolside- count lengths/strokes/check times etc. Doesn't have to be from poolside. Speak to Dale if you are interested. SH asked if any questions for Dale. TE asked where we can find the records for club champs, would be good for the kids to see and aim to achieve. |
| Treasurer's report | Thanked people that operate desks at Donyngs and Horley. We are looking for more/new volunteers- see Sian/Chris Green if interested. Made a loss for 12months till March 2010 of £2000. Had to use some of our reserves to meet the needs of club. Monthly subscriptions- sent out letters to warn people of increases etc. Only 50% of members updated their standing orders in January. £270 in ASA fees of members who had not paid their fee- club had to forfeit this fee. If you don't pay membership you can't swim as you are not insured. Question asked if we could operate direct debit system instead of standing order to sort out people not altering fees- response was that it's too expensive to set up. Kiran thanked everyone for supporting shop which made £1000 profit for us. Galas- should try and break even Home galas- open meet made £3500 Land training- we should break even- members not paid before therefore cost to the club previously Donations- legal and general and Watson and Wyatt- £1000. Thanked the people that helped generate these donations. Sundries- club trophies last year- one off cost. Caterham School bill us once a year, therefore we have their fees sitting in our account. Accounts and books should be reviewed by 2 members each year. Kiran asked for 2 people who would wish to review the accounts for 2010. Next year would like 2 members to look at accounts before AGM and ask questions if need be. Kiran and Sian will stand down as of 31st march 2011. Happy to present at next AGM but looking for treasurers to take over from then. Stan thanked Kiran and Sian. |
| Membership Sectretary | Chris Green explained the role is to take on new people and register with ASA. If any queries come and talk to Chris. |
| Question and Answer session | Jacky asked if Stan would be as dedicated as Previous chairman. Stan said he will give 100% but will need people to back him. He showed the improvement plan and said we are working towards it and would like to achieve these goals. If anyone has any suggestions then come to him or other committee members. Not just about committee running the club, it's about everyone coming together to help run RRSC. Tracy and Chris asked for more help for championships. |
| Meeting close | The meeting ended at 8.30pm. |
